Scout looked over his remaining crew. Time for replacements, he thought. "We'll meet again, you worthies." "You were unlucky, is all." A shadow fell over the somber assembly. It was the Trainer-of-Gladiators. "Scout, all is not well." "I came to collect your prize and I find a slaughterhouse." "True enough, Trainer. My crew is reduced." Both torsos knodded in agreement. "Then you are in need of reinforcements. I have brought with me a selection of souls." "It's been a long time since we have had to reach into this reserve. Perhaps these new ones will be more apt to the purpose." "Let it be done!" "We will wait for you at the arena." Scout assessed the writhing things in the bowl. "It's good to see you all again," he said. The survivors regarded their slain comrades.
